Rally postponed – Terrorist Attack in Jammu

The rally arranged by Sangharsh Samiti is postponned, More than 2,00,000 people gathered in Parade ground for the Rally to start. Sangharsh Samiti realize that its very necessary that Army and Police should concentrate on the operation that going on in Bantalab Area where three terrorists occupied a hours and caught some hostages in side. So Sangharsh Samiti announced to postponned the Rally to some other day. One call for Rally from Sangharsh Samiti and more than 2 lakhs people gathered to start the rally and it was expected that more than 4 lakhs people would be participating the rally. This was going to be a silent rally in the city and other areas of Jammu.

Curfew Imposed in Jammu Again

When government seen more the 3,25,000 people participated in Jail Bharo Andolan which includes: Male, Female and children ( 4 to 17 years – around 50,000) They Imposed curfew again in Jammu. Even police and Army were helpless, they cant put the kids in the Jails as thats Illegal but what they can do.. Even the kids from Jammu know that Governemt is becoming rude and not listening to Jammuities. How Goverment can be silent, even more than 6500 crores went into drains, You know Why India is not emerging and not growing like it should be, because of these politicians, This is a 2 minutes decision for which they have extended more than 60 days. We have Engineers from India driving NASA, We have the specialist doctors from India working as Major scientist in other countries, We have the Best IT software development companies in India, Countries like US, UK, rather whole Eurpore is offshoring software projects to India, and much more.. When Indians are leading every thing why not INDIA, becoz Indian Polotical System is very poor. Most of the Goverment organization are corrupt. You need to pay extra if you need any thing, even then after paying its not sure you will get the work done is assured timeline.

Small countries who even are not very clearly visible on the World Map are growing like anything, becoz they love their Nation and people who are driving the nation are not corrupt.

Lets see when our government will wake up and take appropriate actions.

Samiti’s Jail Bharo Andolan Updates…

More than 2,00,000 people participated in “Jail Bharo Andolan”, The atmosphere was filled with the slogans “Bum Bum Bhole” and “Bharat Mata ki Jai”.

We would like to put forward to the people of India that this is not which is started by any political party but by the general people of Jammu. We would like the people of other states must join hands with us to make this revolt a success.  This is not against any body, this is against the week and poor givernemnt who can revoke the land under the pressure of some Politicians. If Govt is not strengthen enough to make the decisions then people need to come forward and make the decisions.

We appeal the people, the real Indians,  that this is the right time to wake up. They should start the same king of rallies in their cities and should feel proud that they are fighting for a land which is going to be used for the worship of Lord Shiva.

No Political Party is included in this revolt and this is purely people oriented.

Samiti’s Jail Bharo Andolan 

Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti’s Spokeman, Mr. Tilak Raj Sharma, said that over one lakh will court arrest on August 18 in connection with Samiti’s Jail Baro Andolan at district headquarters and other police stations of Jammu region.

Mr Sharma said the Sangarsh Samiti has been given overwhelming support by the people of Jammu and they are committed to take the ongoing agitation to its logical conclusion.

PROPER FLAG PROTOCOL

Prior to 2002, the general public of India could not fly their national flag publicly except on designated national holidays. Only government offices and higher functionaries of the government could do so. An industrialist by name Naveen Jindal filed a Public interest petition in the Delhi High Court, seeking the striking down of this restriction. Jindal apparently flew the flag atop his office building, but as this was against the National flag code, the flag was confiscated and he was informed that he was liable to be prosecuted. Jindal argued that hoisting the National flag with due decorum and honour was his right as a citizen, and a way of expressing his love for India. The case moved to the Supreme Court of India, which asked the Government of India to set up a committee to consider the matter. The Union Cabinet amended the Indian flag code with effect from 26 January 2002, allowing the general public to hoist the flag on all days of the year, provided they safeguarded the dignity, honour and respect of the flag.

In the case of Union of India v. Yashwant Sharma it was held that though the Flag Code is not a statute, restrictions under the Code need to be followed to preserve the dignity of the National Flag. The right to fly the National Flag is not an absolute right but a qualified right and should be read having regard to Article 51A of the Constitution.

Respect for the flag

Indian law says that the flag must at all times be treated with “dignity, loyalty and respect”. The “Flag Code of India – 2002″, which superseded “The Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, 1950″, governs the display and usage of the flag. Official regulation states that the flag must never touch the ground or water, be used as a tablecloth or draped in front of a platform, cover a statue, plaque, cornerstone etc. Until 2005, the flag could not be used in clothing, uniform or costume. On 5 July 2005, the Government of India amended the code, allowing use of the flag as clothing and uniform. It however cannot be used as clothing below the waist or as undergarments. It is also prohibited to embroider the national flag and other symbols onto pillowcases or neckerchiefs.

The flag may not be intentionally placed upside down, dipped in anything, or hold any objects other than flower petals before unfurling. No sort of lettering may be inscribed on the flag.

I am bit confused now, When we have protocols and rules defined and even few people were punished also for this but why government is silent till now on this shameful incident. Why those evils who burnt India National Flag are alive now in India and roaming free in Kashmir.

Is Kashmir is not in control of Indian Government?

Is Kashmir is mere a name associated with India and ruled by Pakistan?

Why we are looking on TV, Newspapers and Websites that some Muslims burning Indian Flags and having the Paksitan’s flags in hands?

Can’t we do anything?

15th August Flag Hosting ceramony Jammu.

 The Flag hosting ceramony started at Jammu and very few people attended the ceranomy conducted by J&K government, execpt some school children, Army Jawans and Police men were there.

In over 150 Independence Day functions organised by Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti (SAYSS) at all district and tehsil headquarters besides block level across the Jammu region, lakhs of people took solemn pledge to continue the ongoing agitation till the land is restored to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB).

There was massive participation in all these functions as the people, whose sentiments were hurt by the Government which cancelled the order transferring land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, chose not to attend any of the Government functions and instead celebrate the Independence Day under the banner of Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti.

Following these functions, huge rallies were taken out at all the places amidst raising of slogans “Zamin Wapis Le Ke Rahenge” and “Bam Bam Bole”.

The main function was held at historic Mubarak Mandi Complex in the heart of Jammu city where more than 25,000 people gathered to celebrate the Independence Day.

Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti is spearheading a mass movement for the restoration of land of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board at Baltal and Domail. The Government has called for an all-party meeting on Wednesday to discuss the possible solutions of the land row in Jammu and Kashmir. 

J&K Governor has also asked the Sangarsh Samiti to form a team and visit the disputed land near Baltal. Meanwhile, Sangarsh Samiti is also holding a meeting to decide on the course of action. 

With the protests over the revocation of land to Amarnath shrine board refusing to die down, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi sought the opinion of Leader of Opposition L K Advani on the issue on Tuesday. 

It seems the Government is desperately looking for a way out to solve the crisis situation. 

National Conference patron and former chief minister, Farooq abdullah, has already retracted his suggestion that the land be leased out for two months each year to the shrine board. But, the Congress wants the BJP to adopt a more conciliatory note.

According to Times Now , the resignations have been submitted to J&K Governor N N Vohra to facilitate the reconstitution of the board.

The members who have resigned are Justice (Retd) G.D. Sharma, Vishnu Murti Shastri, Sunil Sachdeva, Manoj Gaur, Vimla Dhar, Neerja Mattoo, Raghu Modi and Arun Kumar.

The shrine board has 10 members with the Governor as its chairman and his principal secretary as its chief executive officer.

It is believed that the new board will have all the members belonging to Jammu and Kashmir.

In another development earlier in the day, Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti (SASS), which is spearheading the ongoing agitation in Jammu over the Amarnath land issue, on Wednesday refused to soften its stand and said it will settle for nothing less than revocation of the government’s order cancelling transfer of nearly 100 acres of land to the shrine board.

The SASS also turned down Governor N N Vohra’s invitation to visit the controversial forest land at Bhatal.

“We have received a letter from Vohra to visit the site. We turn it down. But we will convene a meeting of the executive committee later in the day and then reply,” SASS convener Leela Karan Sharma said over phone.

“We have already made the SASS stand clear to the Governor that nothing short of revocation of cancellation order and restoration of powers to the Board will be acceptable,” he said.

Meanwhile, the violent protests in the Valley over the Amarnath land row enraged further on Wednesday when protesters defied curfew in Srinagar and took to roads.

There were reports of clashes between pro-Amarnath demonstrators and CRPF men in some areas of Srinagar.
